Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter Turner/Engineering Machinist to join their dynamic and growing production team, where they manufacture and modify Driveshafts for all industries.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and precision machining of mechanical components to ensure their equipment and machinery are running at optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, fit, and maintain mechanical parts and systems.
• Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other workshop machinery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and carry out accurate, high-quality work.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repairs or modifications as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of plant equipment.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve machine performance and reliability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in machining, fitting, and mechanical repairs.
• Strong understanding of workshop tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Forklift and welding certifications.
