Looking to work on large-scale marine and industrial projects?
We're seeking experienced Heavy Fabricators for a full-time temporary assignment with a leading engineering services provider based in Devonport. This is a hands-on role in a specialised environment supporting ship and shore-based fabrication work.
The Role:
You'll be part of a skilled fabrication team, working with a range of materials and machinery to support maintenance, repair, and installation projects. A strong background in welding and fabrication is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate with Mild Steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Copper Nickel
- Use fabrication equipment (presses, rolls, guillotines, CNC cutters)
- Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding to spec
- Construct medium to heavy gauge piping systems
- Interpret engineering drawings and plans
- Collaborate with trade teams and follow SOPs
What You'll Need:
- Trade Certificate (Level 4) in Fabrication
- Relevant welding qualifications
- 5+ years experience in marine or industrial heavy fabrication
- Ability to work from drawings and deliver quality results
- Full NZ Driver's License
Nice to Have:
- Advanced Trade Certificate (Level 5)
