This is a great opportunity to join a tight‑knit team for approximately three months, working Monday to Friday with early starts and early finishes.
Roles Available
We are currently recruiting for two roles within the same site:
- Assembly Assistant - assisting with assembling electric fencing reels, insulated wire strainers, gate componentry, and packing outgoing products.
- Gate Manufacturing Assistant - assisting in the manufacturing of gates and components, including the fettling process (cleaning, grinding, and smoothing welded metal to ensure a high‑quality finish).
What You'll Be Doing
- Assembling electric fencing reels, wire strainers, and gate components
- Packing and preparing outgoing boxes and products
- Supporting gate manufacturing, including fettling using hand tools
- Lifting gates and fencing products throughout the day (up to 25kg)
- Placing fences onto hooks and shelving
- Laying chain‑link mesh onto frames
- General workshop and warehouse cleaning as needed
- Working within a team to meet production targets
What You Need
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg consistently
- Reliable transport and a restricted or full NZ driver's licence
- Previous experience in labouring or manufacturing
- Long‑term availability for the full three‑month duration
- Ability to follow Health & Safety instructions and work well in a team
