Our Client
One of our Whanganui clients is seeking an experienced Production Manager to assist in a manufacturing setting. The business is locally owned and operated specialising in manufacturing leading edge products and processes.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Manager will oversee the processes, quality and heath and safety of the manufacturing unit which operates 24 hours Monday-Friday.
The Production Manager will be ready to implement lean manufacturing strategies, in particular the 5s methodology while maintaining the requirements within the ISO 9001 &ISO 14001 management systems. It will be their responsibility to ensure products and services are available on time and in accordance with specifications while optimising manufacturing efficiency.
Skills Required
- Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Commitment to Health and Safety and staff wellbeing
- Analytical skills with excellent problem solving skills
- Experience in writing reports and delivering presentations
