AWF Blenheim are looking for a team of hard working individuals to join a core team of detail oriented labourers with a strong focus on Health and Safety and working to a high standard.
You will be working in a supportive and motivated team constructing a new Solar Farm and work will include, but not limited to:
Piling, Panneling, Framing, Yard Maintenance.
We anticipate the first intake of labourers starting around 20th April with a second requirement of staff early - mid May and completion torwards the end of 2026.
What do you need?
- Full Class 1 license an advantage but not essential for all roles
- Fit for work and able to lift 25kg and upwards
- Some experience with hand held power tools is an advantage but not essential as training can be provided
- A good team player, flexible, initiative and work well in a safe manner
- Strong health and safety focus to keep yourself and others safe on sites - this is crucial
- Reliability including reliable transport to get yourself to and from the transportation pick up site in central Blenheim.
- Experience as a labourer on a construction site is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided and you will be supported by a Team Leader
- Keenness to get stuck in and get the job done
- Positive attitude as you will encounter contractors on a daily basis and we need to ensure good team morale remains a priority
In addition to these you will be required to undertake a pre employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal history check as well as be able to provide references on request and hold the legal right to work in New Zealand.
