We're looking for a reliable and personable Store Person / Delivery Driver to join a busy, well‑established trade supply business based in Petone. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where you'll be delivering essential tradie supplies and representing the business out on the road and at customer sites.
This role is approximately 6 -8 weeks leave cover.
Role Available:
This temporary role combines delivery driving with warehousing duties and is well suited to someone who enjoys working with tradies, building rapport, and being part of a hardworking team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Delivering tradie supplies including paint, tools, hardware and PPE to customers across the region
- OSH forklift certificate is a bonus -but those without it will still be considered for the role.
- Driving and operating a large van safely and confidently
- Being the face of the business during deliveries, interacting with tradies and site staff
- Building positive relationships with customers and engaging in friendly, professional banter
- Loading and unloading goods, including manual handling-you will need to be physically able safely lift items up to 30kg
- Assisting with general warehousing duties such as picking, packing, and stock movement
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What You Need:
- Clean Full New Zealand Driver Licence (essential)
- Confidence driving large vans
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to interact comfortably with tradies and site environments
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying trade products
- Well presented, clean cut, and professional
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Previous warehousing or trade supply experience is an advantage
