AWF Nelson are looking for production workers, that have an interest in wood products and have a desire to produce a high quality end product

Our Client has two roles available, one is fit for a beginner in the construction and Manufacturing industry, the other would require some experience with power tools and Saws

The role: Entry level Finger joiner

• Required to use industrial glue product join sheets/ beams together
• Measure and mark wood for processing (measure twice cut once)
• Place product onto production line
• Move product around via bins/ pallet jacks

About You

• Need to be committed to learn, follow instructions and retain information
• Physically fit and have ability follow written orders and have good organizational skills
• Ability to get to work, public transport may not always be available
• Be able to retain information
• Completing manual handling as required (this will be medium to heavy)
• Reliable, Punctual ready for work each day

The Role: Lamination and Tailing

• Tailing Laminated wood products
• Pressing and Stacking
• Sanding of product per specifications
• Cutting large amounts of wooden product via Drop/ Skill Saws
• Using Power tools as part of process
• Place product onto production line
• Move product around via bins/ pallet jacks

About You

• Need to be committed to learn, follow instructions and retain information
• Physically fit (alot of bending) and have ability follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to get to work, public transport may not always be available
• Be able to retain information
• Completing manual handling as required (this will be medium to heavy)
• Reliable, Punctual ready for work each day
• Experience with wood products and industrial power tools
