Our client is a successful and well established, privately owned general engineering company who are well-resourced and have a reputation for being good employers. With a focus on quality they are proud to service a variety of clients in the Wellington area, as well as providing services to the dairy sector during their offseason.

The job

Depending on your trade background they can offer you work that fits your skills base - fitting, maintenance, welding, machining, hydraulics……..

Initially workshop based you will be involved in a variety of general engineering and repair projects. They have a fully equipped workshop where services include machining, MIG, TIG and arc welding, stripping and fitting valves, repairs, fabrication and generally engineering.

Depending on your skills you may work on client sites, and if there is interest you may work of town on occasion.

Typically hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday, though regular overtime is required (and is paid at penal rates).

With this amount of scope you will bring your 'A' game, along with

  • A relevant Trade qualification - fitting, machining, welding
  • Previous professional experience
  • An ability to be part of a team that 'works in' together
  • Great diagnostic and problem-solving skills
