Successful candidates will be responsible for various tasks related to concrete work, including jackhammering, moving broken concrete, and operating machinery. The role requires someone who is physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Please note: - Only applications with NZ Residency/ Citizenship will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate jackhammers to break up concrete structures efficiently and safely.
- Transport and dispose of broken concrete materials.
- Assist with other tasks on-site as directed by the supervisor.
- Always adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Worker or similar role.
- General Labouring Experience in digging and backfilling, breaking concrete breakers and heavy lifting.
- Ability to operate jackhammers and other concrete equipment effectively.
- Class 1 Full Licence, as it is a night shift role.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Good command of English
