AWF is currently seeking motivated individuals for two exciting roles in Hawkes Bay. Whether you're an experienced CNC Programmer or a hands-on Assembly Technician, we want to hear from you!
CNC Programmer
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
- Create CNC programs using appropriate software
- Set up CNC machines and select appropriate tools
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality output
- Conduct quality checks and measurements of finished parts
- Troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes
- Maintain machines and tools for safe, effective operation
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams
- Support machinists with general workshop duties
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of CNC programming experience
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and CNC software
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control standards
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Must hold a valid visa or New Zealand residency
Assembly Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electrical machines and components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Test assembled equipment to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area
- Complete paperwork accurately and promptly
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (a plus)
- Excellent communication and process-following ability
