The Role will include:
- Ensuring that site installations are carried out safely and that the site is a safe place of work for all employees, sub-contractors, and visitors
- Making sure that the sites are always clean and tidy
- Supporting the lead fitter on each project
- Training towards installing furniture to the highest quality
- Working under close instruction from the lead installer, paying particular attention to safety and quality
- Working towards being able to understand drawings, either by an Architect, or the client's own shop drawings
- Learning how to use the power tools required for installation and fabrication under the strict guidance of the lead installer
To be successful you will need:
- To be physically fit and motivated to work
- To have experience within the laboratory furniture industry
- To have excellent communication skills, from dealing with fellow work mates and other site subcontractors and excellent time management skills
- To have a good problem-solving abilities to be able to think and plan a way around a problem
- To have a full NZ driver's license
- Must pass a drug screen and disclose criminal convictions
- Must have 2 contactable work references
- Can start immediately
