AWF are looking for experienced Carpenters who have a minimum of three years' experience for 5 positions across the Otago region.

Our clients have major construction and infrastructure projects in the Otago region, so the work requires very capable people. You'll also need a good command of English both written and verbal to communicate with sub-contractors, clients, and internal trade's people effectively.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in:

• Minimum three years' experience ideally within the construction industry
• Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the required installation method
• Taking measurements and calculating the size/amount of materials required for the job
• Cuttingmaterials to desired length, assemblying and nailing cut and shaped materials
• Building and assembling window frames, doors, sub-flooring, floorboards, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Assembly of pre cut wood materials to form structures and fittings to be ready for installation
• Assembly of furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• Repair work where required and work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals
