About the company

We are working with a Bricklaying business who have multiple projects all throughout Porirua with 3+ years work in the pipeline. Their bricklaying jobs consist of long runs on apartment buildings and single story housing units. They work at multiple locations through-out the country and have a team of 6 in Wellington including 2 labourers to assist with loading out bricks. There is an opportunity to be on either wages or be paid per m2 of work that you do.

About the role

Your new company is looking for skilled Brick layers who are capable of reading plans and can be given a task to do and left to it. You will need to have a minimum of 3+ years experience and your own tools consisting of a minimum, Brickies Trowel, spirit levels and string lines. Your target for Bricks Laid per day is 400.

Beneficial experience will include full scope, however these skills are Key:

• Half-bond
• Stack bond experience
• Building corners
• Lintels
• Setting up profiles
• Raking joints

What is on offer:

• Ongoing work Monday - Friday with Saturdays available if you are interested
• Weekly pay
• Either working as an AWF employee or as an employee of your new company (not a contractor) you are entitled to holiday pay, sick pay and ACC cover and we will pay your tax
• If you can bring the required skills to the table, you can be paid m2 rate which start at $65 and go above depending on your skills and capability.
