AWF are seeking reliable hardworking people to join our clients and assist them with their traffic management needs.

No prior experience in traffic management is required and AWF will assist you to obtain your traffic control certificate through our training course we're holding on 16th September.

Traffic control is so much more than just lollipop people you'll be responsible for the safe flow of traffic throughout the job site and your work will ensure the public and your coworkers are kept safe everyday.

The work is of course outdoor and you will definitely see the best and worst of what the weather can do. We have roles that are solely local and we also have roles that involve travel throughout the South Island (accommodation provided and allowances paid for away travel)

We work with a variety of civil companies and they all hold safety in the highest regard, they need like minded people who take their role as traffic controllers seriously and are able to think on their feet and also deliver great service to everyday kiwis that are travelling on the roads.

Traffic controllers spend most of their working day on their feet and the job includes site setup and removal which involves some heavy lifting so some level of physical fitness and strength is required however the most important thing is a great attitude, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.

This work is Temporary and will run through until the end of the road works season which is the end of April (potentially later depending on weather)

In addition to the above you'll need the following to be successful in your application to be one of AWF's high performing traffic controllers;

- A restricted drivers licence (full and class 2 preferred)

- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; drugs, alcohol, criminal history and ACC history

- The right to work in NZ and relevant documentation to prove it

- A current CV with contactable references
