This is not your ordinary engineering wholesale stores role……. you will be based in the showroom/store of an operational engineering business……your mechanical aptitude will be strong (and with training) it will see you match parts and componentry to provide solutions for your customers….and your customer service skills will see them coming back time and again. This is a job to make your own!

The company

Based in Lower Hutt they are a well-established and busy general engineering firm who offer a variety of services including - general engineering, contract maintenance services, specialist engineering services and a well-appointed showroom and retail/wholesale operation.

The team

Working in a wider team of 11, you will take charge of their store and showroom. They are a tight knit unit, long serving and willing to help when you are busy. They look forward to your joining them. Its also worth mentioning that the showroom is spacious and at the front of the business, rather than hidden out back.

The role

• Co-ordinating the day-to-day operation of the store and showroom
• Picking and matching parts and components for customers based on their individual needs
• Customer service - walk ins, phones and emails
• Sourcing and ordering stock
• Stock takes and stock control
• Invoicing and data entry (MS Outlook and an in-house system)

You

Will likely come from a stores/retail wholesale environment, and have a good level of mechanical aptitude, you will be service orientated and have excellent customer skills, a great problem solver, and someone that is a perfect fit for this team.

You will also need be computer literate, good with numbers and most importantly have great rapport building and communication skills.
