AWF is delighted to be partnering our client in their search for a trade qualified electrician. They are a well established operation who have branches throughout NZ, they offer long term stability, development opportunities and excellent training.

As a company they work across sectors such as food processing, cold storage and logistics. They specialise in the design and installation of door and dock loading systems for clients throughout the South Island.

The company offer excellent hourly rates, the potential for earning company performance bonuses, a fully equipped ute once training is complete, great training, all expenses paid if required to travel out of town and a close knot team of skilled professionals. In addition to this there is an opportunity to move into project management and take on greater responsibility.

The role

Has 2 key areas - installations and servicing

Typically working as a part of a 2-man team you will complete onsite installations of door and loading bay systems, including wiring the control box and setting the logics for ongoing use. As you are onsite your ability to problem solve, come up with mechanical and electrical solutions, and use you No 8, will be the key to our success. As a trade qualified electrician you will provide electrical sign off at the completion of the project.

Once installed the company offers servicing and maintenance to their clients.

Whilst predominantly based in Christchurch the role will require some travel - up to 1 week per month on average. All expenses are covered and travel maybe by air. The company works a 47.5 hour week (Mon-Fri 7am-5pm)

Can you offer?

A trade qualification and NZ practicing certificate?

Commercial/industrial electrical experience?

Previous installation of electrically operated units would be an advantage?

A full drivers licence (you will often tow a trailer)?
