Travel around Auckland with a crew of workers in work trucks, to set up traffic coordination site. All you need to do is have a good attitude, like working outside. Good communication skills and health and safety knowledge is a must.
Please note: - You must be either a New Zealand Citizen, Resident or on an Open Work Visa to be considered for this role. Applicants residing in New Zealand only will be considered.
About the role
- Early start at 6/7 am. Could be doing anywhere between 8-14-hour shifts
- Directing traffic and utilisation of a Stop/Go bat
- Loading and unloading signs, cones, and various gear on and off the work truck
- Setting up the site safely for road our maintenance operations
- Interaction with the general public
- General labouring duties
To be considered for this role:
- Must have a traffic management certification
- Class 1 full license is a must
- Class 2 is desirable
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
- Eager to get outside and work in all conditions
- No issues standing for long periods of time
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities - able to keep cool and calm under pressure
- Must have your own car
- You will have to interview with us in person in our Penrose office
- Reliable and honest, with your colleagues and yourself
