About the role

Our client is seeking a ticketed STMS to join their busy Invercargill operation. You will be working mostly locally with some work potential in Central Otago on occasion.

The role will involve

  • All STMS duties from site setup through to tear down
  • Taking charge when needed
  • Coach and develop TC's to ensure that they're safe and high performing

All basic PPE will be provided by AWF and we will continue to work with you to ensure that you feel confident and safe in your work.

This is a temporary role with potential for it to become permanent for the right person.

Their friendly Invercargill team do everything from road marking through to bridge construction and as an STMS for them you will get to work with a huge range of different operations from day to day.

About you

You will be highly organised and capable of doing many tasks at once, your experience as an STMS will shine through and enable you to undertake all STMS activities. You wont be to proud to ask for help and should you know not know something you will be able to ask to ensure it's right before doing it.

Most importantly you will be reliable, be able to listen to instructions and take on board feedback as it comes. Feedback is massively important for developing yourself and always comes from a place of ensuring that it's done right and people aren't put at risk.

In addition to the above, to be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a current STMS ticket
  • Be able to pass pre-employment checks (including; Criminal history, Drug and Alcohol screening, ACC history)
  • Hold a current full New Zealand class 1 license (class 2 would be highly advantageous)
  • Have the right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it
  • A current CV with at least 2 work references
