Experience required:

The successful candidate should have a tertiary qualification in civil engineering and at least 2 years relevant experience in civil engineering construction. Some of this experience should be on construction sites with involvement in design of temporary works, understanding construction plans and specifications, ISO quality systems and the development of construction methods. The successful candidate would have skills in planning, programming and communication are required. You will plan, organise and control the technical and engineering aspects of designated construction projects. Should be happy to travel around the country as jobs require.



Your role will involve the following:

  • Provide effective support to the Project Engineer/ Manager assisting them in the preparation of formal reports.
  • Understand and contribute to a safe working environment by way of understanding of Project Health and Safety Plan and associated documentation.
  • Prepare JSEA's for activities with those involved and get them approved in a timely manner.
  • You will be familiar with all aspects of the contract drawings for their section of the work as well as the applicable technical specifications and quality requirements.
  • You will be responsible for the Construction Quality Plans in a manner to meet or exceed the Quality goals set by the project including As Builts using AutoCAD, maintaining Inspection and Test Plans etc.
  • Undertakes the procurement function ensuring that the project will benefit in terms of cost effectiveness, quality and expedites delivery to prevent project delays. Ensure that an accurate record of costs is maintained during procurement to allow accurate cost forecasting.
