We have a temporary position for a physically fit person to cut scrub and weed control in the Marlborough Sounds region.

To be successful you will ideally have experience in chainsaw handling with a minimum qualification of basic chainsaw unit standards and experience using a variety of pruning and scrub cutting equipment.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, who can follow instructions and uphold health and safety.

The task will involve clearing scrub and vegetation around power pylons and along walking tracks.

The work will require you to work away for 5-day stints for up to 8 weeks with accommodation provided.

You must be reliable, honest and have your own transport.

This role is physical, therefore not all applicants will be suitable, the offset of this is the abundance of reward you gain from this role in an amazing environment.

• Proficiency and NZQA unit standards in chainsaw use.

• Have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
