We're looking for commercially savvy individual to join our small, high-performing team in Whanganui. If you love building relationships, closing deals but want more meaning behind the metrics, recruitment could be the next perfect step in your career.


A typical day as a Recruitment Consultant at AWF will:

  • Source, screen, and place skilled and reliable workers with our clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Conduct interviews, vet applications, and present job offers
  • Visit worksites to understand client needs first-hand
  • Fulfil compliance and Health & Safety checks
  • Negotiate offers and support smooth onboarding
  • Develop and foster new client relationships via business development
  • Manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload with accuracy and professionalism

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have previous experience within a busy office or organisation, and comfortable working sole-charge.

What we are looking for in you:

  • Someone who has a natural knack for talking with people from all walks of life
  • Someone who is proactive, hard-working, and organised - it goes without saying that you need to be an extension of the client you are supporting
  • 2+ years' experience and background in Contract and Sales Administration (with exposure to stakeholder engagement). Exposure to Recruitment is preferred but not essential
  • A full, clean NZ driver's license
