Join the production team at the beginning of the vaccine process. Feed cuts of meat into the vats to produce media/enzymes. High level of hygiene is important - sterilisation and cleaning of vats, machinery and equipment used for each batch. Some trimming and mincing of meat may be involved. Large volume of meat will be handled every day.

About the Job:

• Monday to Friday
• Long-term role
• Day shift - start and finish times may vary
• Full and thorough training provided

What you will be doing:

• Cutting/trimming of meat to go into vat
• Feed meat into the vat to produce enzymes
• Full and thorough sterilisation of equipment to be undertaken after each batch
• Record batch numbers and enter information into database
• Move tanks of product to different departments for further processing

Job requirements:

• You must be physically fit and able to lift big cuts of meat
• Have the stamina to be on the move all day
• Attention to detail when sterilising/cleaning equipment
• Able to have clear written and verbal communication for accurate data/record keeping
• OSH forklift certification and/or reach truck experience advantageous - as this role could extend to the storeroom.

Do you hold a NZ OSH certificate for forklift operation? We would love to hear from you. If you have experience with using a reach truck, this would be a bonus.
