We are seeking experienced Production Operators with the ability to work across different facets of our Hillsborough clients plasterboard manufacturing process. Daily resposibilities will be varied so if you are multi-skilled, intuitive, motivated and safety focused, please read on.

About the role:

As a machine operator you will be working as part of a team, operating machinery to ensure continuous production. This includes identifying faults and quality assurance.

You may be using a forklift and gantry crane (experience is a bonus but don't worry, full training will be provided).

Plant operation within manufacturing crews.

  • Process control, following all operating procedures correctly
  • Operating machines and replenishing lines
  • General manufacturing duties
  • Routine checks of plant operations
  • Computer-controlled equipment

About you:

Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

  • Forklift licence and OSH Certificate along with current NZ driver's licence a bonus
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude and technical problem solving
  • Physically fit and the ability to safely handle heavy equipment and product
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and numerical calculations
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a team
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Safe work practices and Health and Safety awareness

After your initial training period you MUST be willing to work on a rotating roster:

4 days on 4 days off - 2 day shifts (7am to 7pm), then 2 night shifts (7pm to 7am)
