AWF Nelson are looking for production staff to assist our client with multiple positions for their on shore Mussel farm operations

This role is a 4 day on 4 day off position, 12 hour days completing a number of tasks involved in preperation of their Mussle rope lines for farm operations

This role, as a food production logistics supply chain, will be required to wear a mask at times when working and will also require a my vaccine pass.

About the Role

  • Entry level position
  • Need to be reliable, punctial and committed
  • Have a good level of fitness, ability to role up sleeves and not afraid of getting dirty
  • Preperation of lines, including but not limited to, braiding, stripping, cleaning and seeding of new and used Mussel lines
  • Medium/ Heavy manual handling involved, need to be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Any previous experience in food production, sea factory vessels, or manufacturing would be excellent, but not a requirement
  • Forklift ticket (OSH) would be a bonus as some operations require the use of this plant, have an OSH with limited experience, this could be a chance to master those skills (training)

About You

  • Need to be committed to learn, follow instructions and retain information
  • Physically fit and have ability follow written & verbal
  • Good organizational skills and time management
  • Have a understanding of health and safety and a respect for the enviroment
  • Takaka based role so you will need your own transport
