Experienced Pipefitters wanted for marine engineering projects based in Devonport's large dry dock facility. You'll be joining a skilled team working on high spec pipework and fabrication projects across a variety of marine vessels in a structured, safety focused environment.
Copper Nickel Tig welding experience is a must and you will be required to do a weld test.
What You'll Be Doing
- TIG pipe welding in a marine engineering environment
- Welding Copper Nickel, stainless steel, and carbon steel pipework in the 6G position
- Fabricating and installing pipe spools and related components
- Working from shop drawings and isometric diagrams
- Operating in confined spaces as required
- Maintaining consistent quality and meeting project deadlines
What You Need
- Strong background in pipe welding and fabrication
- Proven experience welding Copper Nickel pipework
- Ability to pass a weld test:
- Full TIG in 6G
- TIG root + Arc filler/cap in 6G
- Confined Space & Fire Safety certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to read and interpret drawingsLevel 4 Welding or equivalent qualification
- High attention to detail and consistent workmanship
- Reliability, teamwork, and strong communication skills
