We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Orderly to join our dynamic team in Whanganui. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, keen, reliable, and have a flair for communication and customer service. This is a casual role with multiple shift patterns and hours on offer including weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe and effective transport of patients and equipment throughout the facility, delivering supplies and equipment to appropriate areas
• Undertake duties that require heavy lifting, including manual handling and transferring of patients, as well as moving beds, trolleys, and medical equipment
• Replenish medical and non-medical supplies to ensure all departments are adequately stocked
• Perform regular checks and basic housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Accurately complete and maintain records
• Exhibit excellent communication skills to provide top-tier customer service
• Maintain smooth and efficient operations in a bustling healthcare setting by proactively identifying and addressing potential workflow disruptions

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare is preferred but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided
• Physically capable of performing demanding tasks efficiently and safely
• Demonstrate a consistent, dependable work ethic
• Possess top-notch time management skills to efficiently handle duties and responsibilities
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Abide by strict confidentiality and privacy requirements
• Follow and comply with all health and safety policies and processes
