Our client is one of New Zealand's leading engineering providers offering engineering solutions and industrial maintenance across several sectors. Based in Wiri, they are looking for a Mechanical Trade Assistant to help assist with assembly, cleaning and disassembling of pneumatic components.
This role is full time ongoing Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm with overtime available outside these hours. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking for exposure and development.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and labelling of pneumatic system components using automatic washers and manual parts
- Use of hand and power tools
- Supporting the tradesman with day-to-day tasks including disassembly of simple Pneumatic components under supervision and labelling of components
- General housekeeping
- Opportunity to learn and do other simple mechanical fitting.

To be successful, you will be:
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of workshop health and safety
- Ideally you would have either a mechanical or automotive interest and/or background as this role will be within the automotive and public transport sector
- Punctual and have good communication
- Willing to learn and show a good attitude
