Production Operators

You must be a NZ resident. Overseas applicants will not be considered for this role.

We are seeking intuitive, motivated, safety focused Production Operators to join our client in the Hillsborough area. Producing quality and reliable plasterboard products with an efficient manufacturing process. This role will see you responsible for the processes involved in the manufacturing of plasterboard and daily responsibilities will range.

About the role:

As a machine operator you will be working as part of a team, operating machinery to ensure continuous production. This includes identifying faults and quality assurance.

You may be using a forklift and gantry crane (experience is a bonus but don't worry, full training will be provided).

  • Plant operation within manufacturing crews.
  • Process control, following all operating procedures correctly.
  • Operating machines and replenishing lines
  • General manufacturing duties
  • Routine checks of plant operations
  • Computer-controlled equipment

About you:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment useful but not essential.
  • Forklift licence and current NZ driver's licence a bonus.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude and technical problem solving
  • Physically fit and the ability to safely handle heavy equipment and product.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and numerical calculations
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a team.
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Safe work practices and Health and Safety awareness.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and MOJ check

After your initial training period you MUST be willing to work on a rotating roster:

4 days on 4 days off - 2 day shifts (7am to 7pm), then 2 night shifts (7pm to 7am)
