AWF, and our client McCallums Linen hire, are seeking a hard working and detail orientated person to assist them in a fixed term capacity for a project they are about to start.
This role involves sorting linen products that are a bit older and checking that they are still the right size for morden requirements, any that are old sizes are seperated and are sent to be recycled externally. You will then quality assess the correct linens and spot clean as necessary. There is plenty of work involved in this project and it requires a keen eye for detail to be successful.
There is a large number of linens requiring this treatment and it will take atleast 6 months to process it all. You will be working on your own in your own dedicated work station, so the ability to work autonomously is absolutely essential. The linen bags weigh upto 15kgs so some physical strength is required.
Full training and coaching will be provided as well as all necessary PPE for use while spot cleaning.
Best of all this role is flexible, you will be required to work atleast 30 hours per week, but you can pick the hours that suit yourself. Maybe you have kids that are at school and want to be picking them up each day or maybe you'd prefer a later start. This role offers you the ability to still continue to do the things that you enjoy and also work with a great team of people achieving set targets!
This role is very repetitive you will be processing between 20,000 and 30,000 linen products in your fixed term contract and the last one will need processed with the same care as the first. So you must be prepared for some repetition.

About You;
You will be a reliable worker who is able to work autonomously to get the job done without a bother. You will be physically capable and able to work at higher than normal ambient temperatures.
This role is very detail orientated so will require your high levels or attention to detail to be successful. As a process orientated person you will believe in not taking short cuts and in getting it right the first time.
In addition to the above you will;
- Have the right to work in NZ and have the relevant documentation to prove it
- Be able to pass pre-employments checks including drug/alcohol screening, criminal history and ACC history
- Hold a current full New Zealand drivers license, forklift would be advantageous but can form part of the training if need be
- Have a current CV with contactable work references
- Be physically capable of lifting upto 15kg's and able to complete a physical assessment if required
