About the role
- Manufacture of pre-nail products to meet plan and delivery specifications
- Operate saws to cut timber accurately to cutting lists
- Build trusses and frames manually or use machinery supplied accurately to plans
- Report damaged or worn equipment to the team leader promptly
- Maintain an effective and tidy working area
- Assist in monthly stock takes
- Manual loading, hammering, fixing braces of frames and trusses
- Work with hand tools and power tools
To be successful, you must
- Have a working experience as a hammerhand or carpenter
- Be physically fit and able to lift 20-25 kg materials
- Have your own tool belt and basic hand tools such as hammer and tape measure
- Having a reliable transport would be an advantage
- Must pass a drug screen and disclose criminal convictions
- Must have 2 contactable work references
- Can start immediately
What's in it for you
- Salary is between $23.50 to $27.00 per hour (depending on your experience)
- Training will be provided
- Work from Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday shift
- 2 shifts available: 4:00 am to 3:30 pm (morning) and 4:00 pm to 3:30 am (afternoon)
