Mussel farm worker
Our client in the mussel industry is looking for a skilled individual on an ongoing basis.
About the role:
You will be assisting in all aspects of the business.
This includes the Rope yard where you will be cutting , pulling and grading different types of rope.
The sewing room where you will be monitoring the sewing machines and fixing issues as they might arise.
The cooking room where you will be cooking the floats used on the mussel farms.
General yard duties.
You will need to be hard working and reliable
Able to work 12 hour days
4 on 4 off shifts , which will include weekends.
Live in Havelock or be willing to travel daily.
Have a good attitude and work well in a team environment as well as autonomously.
Forklift licence would be an advantage but not a must

To be successful in this work you'll need to be fit and able to follow instructions of the team around them, prior experience in labouring isn't essential however, a great attitude is.
In addition to the above you'll need the following to be successful;
- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; drugs/alcohol/criminal history
- The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it
- A New Zealand Drivers licence would be an advantage
