About the role;

Our client is a nationwide civil construction company and they're seeking someone with a great attitude to join their small maintenance team servicing the local council. They require an experienced and skilled digger operator to assist their busy operation and to provide them support with a large variety of tasks they undertake. This role requires someone experienced in K&C repairs, digouts, footpaths and rip and remakes.

We're seeking someone who gets along well with others and who's able to work as part of a small team, this will mean you'll be doing more than just digger operating to ensure the job gets done and you'll need to be willing to get stuck into a variety of different operating tasks.

The diggers you'll be operating vary in size depending on the job, so a variety of operating experience would be advantageous.

What you need to be success in your application;

This role requires a digger operator with at least 5 years of operating experience and proven skills in working in the maintenance sector. You will need to be able to undertake manual tasks from time to time and able to get along with a small group of people.

You will have prior experience working with concrete and completing kerb and channel repairs, digouts and rip and remakes. Experience working around underground services would be an advantage.

In addition to the above you'll need the following;

- Minimum full class 2 New Zealand Licence with WTR endorsements (class 4 preferred)

- The ability to pass re-employment checks including; operating assessments, drug and alcohol screening, criminal history checks and ACC history checks

- The right to work in New Zealand, and relevant documentation to prove it

- A current CV with contactable references
