AWF have full time opportunities for entry level machine operators who're keen to get stuck into their work and who aren't afraid to get involved in the work physically.

About the work;

This work involves a number of different duties including; operating rollers as these are great entry machinery and will offer the opportunity for you to build your skills once you have mastered this and also assist the rest of the site team with general duties as required to ensure the work is achieved on time and to a high standard.

There is some away work and you should be back home most weekends but while you're away you'll receive a $60 per night allowance.

This work is really rewarding and offers you the chance to use the roads that you've had a hand in building and repairing. This is outdoor work and at times you will see all sorts of weather so there is a need for people who are committed and willing to listen to those around them as their experience will be vital for you to be able to safely operate machinery.

About you;

Your prior experience with manual work will help you immensely in being successful in this role, as will your solid communication skills. You'll be a keen fast learner and understand that high skill level is achieve through patience and the experience of those around you.

You will need to be physical fit and capable so you can assist the team with other tasks on site.

You will be able to work well as part of a team and also be reliable enough to work individually.

In addition to the above you'll have the following;

- A full Class 2 New Zealand drivers licence and WTR endorsements required

- The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it

- A current CV with contactable references

- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; criminal history, drugs, alcohol and ACC history
