Temporary Chef - RealNZ (AWF Client)

Location: Doubtful Sound (with potential coverage in Queenstown & Milford Sound)

Roster: 7 days on / 7 days off (on-call basis)

Employment Type: Temporary / Contract

About the Role:

AWF is seeking a skilled and experienced chef to support our client RealNZ in delivering high-quality buffet-style meals in remote and scenic locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and can maintain exceptional culinary standards under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and present buffet-style meals for up to 60 guests to a high standard.

Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met.

Work collaboratively with the hospitality team to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Be available on a 7-on / 7-off rotating roster, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed.

Travel between Doubtful Sound, Queenstown, and Milford Sound as required.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a chef in high-volume environments.

Ability to produce quality buffet-style meals for large groups.

Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.

Excellent time management and adaptability.

Willingness to work in remote locations and travel as needed.

Reliable and professional with a strong work ethic.
