Our client is looking for an Alloy Welder for an immediate start on a full time ongoing basis.

This is an exciting opportunity working for an industry leading client located in Wiri, South Auckland. With purpose built facilities, this will make an automotive fanatics eyes light up!

Our client is an NZ owned and operated family business. They create and install vehicle storage, protection and custom design solutions for companies all over New Zealand. As a leading provider of transformation solutions, this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience undertaking light engineering tasks.

Your duties will include fitting steel mounting plates to vehicles, welding, and fabricating customised bracketry and framework in steel and aluminium.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Fitting steel mounting plates to vehicles
  • Welding and fabricating customised bracketry and framework in steel and aluminium
  • Manage the Mobility Custom Engineers to undertake the strip-out of vehicles
  • Manage your engineering production tasks
  • Look for ways to improve current work methods and processes
  • Ensure product and service quality is of a very high standard at all times
  • Quality checking work maintaining efficiency's
  • General cleaning and maintenance around the workshop as required


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Technically minded with an interest or understanding of the automotive industry
  • Previous welding experience
  • Current welding certificates advantageous
  • Previous hand and power tools experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Current Drivers Licence and Reliable transport
  • You must be able to pass a pre employment drug screen
  • You must have a clean criminal history
