About the role;
AWF are seeking someone to assist our busy, Invercargill based, client with their materials supply operation. Our Client supplies materials, including gravel, sand, soil and firewood to a number of businesses throughout Southland and also to the general public.
They are well establish and have built themselves a diverse business of many years of dedication and hard of their great team.
The primary element of this role is loader operator and yardperson, but this role is so much more than this, in this role you will be the primary person taking care of the yard.
To be successful you will need:
- A sense of pride and ownership in your work which will allow you to ensure that your yard is maintained to the highest standard to ensure the safety of the operation
- Basic customer service
Through this role you will work directly with the business manager and through training and commitment quickly become an integral part of the team delivering excellent service to commercial and residential clients alike.
This role has many development opportunities should you wish to continue your own progression and so this is a great chance to build your brand within one of the souths most established and well recognised businesses.
This role will be 0730-1700 Monday - Friday and Saturday mornings, this role is available for immediate start however we're also happy to wait for the right applicant.
About You;
To be successful in this role you will have prior loader experience, although more importantly you will have a great attitude and be professional and capable of talking to customers in a professional manner.
You will be capable of working as part of a team as well as working on your own, a willingness to think for yourself and pick up a broom and keep your yard tidy and safe is vital. As are phone manners so you can assist in driving the business forwards.
In addition to the above you will also need:
- A full and current class 2 drivers license with wheels endorsement
- A current CV with contactable referees
- The right to work in NZ and relevant documentation to prove it
- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including drug/alcohol screening, criminal history checks and ACC checks
- Availability for the work hours of 0730-1700 Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.
