The Work

We are looking for Traffic Controllers (TC's) to work on local roading projects in and around Hamilton. The work consists of site set ups, site closures / breakdown, stop and go, site monitoring, shadow driving and coning in and out from traffic management trucks.

For those who are looking to get into this field we provide subsidized training to help kick start your career in civil as a TC and gain a qualification is Traffic Management.

Must haves:

  • Be physically fit and injury free
  • Current CL1 driver's license is an advantage but not essential
  • Having a CL2 license is an advantage but also not essential
  • Own transport to get to work
  • 2 x Work references
  • As the work is an immediate start, you'll need to already be eligible to work in New Zealand

About You:

  • You will be able to work 10 - 12 hour shifts (with early starts) This is not a 9 to 5 job and sometimes has call-outs
  • Enjoy working outdoors - In the sun and the rain
  • Can work well in a team environment
  • Gets on well with all types of people
  • Good health and safety awareness
  • Reliable transport to/from work
  • Good communication skills
