With spring on the horizon, AWF Invercargill are looking to getting a head start to assist our Civil Construction clients with the up coming roading season.

We are on the look out for our next traffic control superstars and to help you on your journey of the important role that you will play in working with a roading crew we are holding a Traffic Control Management course in Invercargill on Thursday 13 August 2020.

About AWF

Specialists in bue collar labour, AWF have a number of Civil Construction clients in the Invercargill area who will require top notch traffic controllers to help manage their projects.

We have people from all walks of life in our team and we take pride in getting to know our candidates so that we can match you with our clients.

The Work

As we have mentioned, you will play an important role in the smooth management of traffic for our clients projects, this means that you will need a level head and be able to talk with members of the public. This is physical work and a reasonable level of fitness is required as you will be on your feet more often than not. The hours will vary as this work can be weather dependent and you will also need to be prepared for all seasons in one day that our Southland weather can bring. There may be the opportunity to travel away although this is not a requirement for all of our clients

What you will bring to the table

  • Be physically fit and injury free
  • Own transport to get to work
  • Current CV with 2 contactable referees
  • Current Class 1 drivers licence (restricted minimum)
  • You will need to be eligible to work in New Zealand
