AWF are seeking reliable traffic controllers to assist our civil clients.

The prior Christmas weather was less than ideal and now that we have some clearer skies we have multiple openings for TC's who can assist through till the end of the works season. The season runs through until late July (weather dependant)

Traffic Controllers are a vital part of the roading crews, they ensure everyone on the road is kept safe and traffic is managed appropriately to avoid any catastrophies. AWF's TC's have safety at the forefront of everything they do which helps them to be successful.

TC work hours can be long and obviously this is outdoor work so is not for the faint of heart, but it's also very rewarding and you get to be a part of a team that help to build the roading network that keeps New Zealand moving.

AWF will be holding a TC training course on 12/2/2020, for successful applicants for this role. Although if you already hold a level 1 traffic control ticket we would also like to hear from you.

AWF will provide you with all of the basic PPE you need to undertake this work, we will ensure ensure you're paid on time every week and also will assist you by providing safety certifications on site.

About you;

You will be reliable and ideally have previous experience working in the outdoors, but if not you'll have a proven track record of being a great worker.

You'll be polite and approachable as you'll be working with members of the public and be capable of working as part of a team to get the work completed. As a TC you'll have a strong understanding of both written and spoken english as you will be communicating constantly with everyone on site.

In addition to the above to be a successful TC you will need;

- A current level one TC certification (Training held 12/2/2020)

- A full New Zealand drivers license (Higher classes and any endorsements highly regarded)

- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; Drug and alcohol screening, criminal history checks and ACC history checks

- A current CV with contactable references

- The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it

- The ability to work full time until the end of the sealing season.
