Job Title: Roading Crew Member

Location: Southland (Invercargill and surrounding areas)

AWF Invercargill are seeking new and experienced roading crew for the up and coming season..

As a Roading Crew Member, you'll be part of a team responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads and associated infrastructure. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a tight-knit crew that keeps Southland moving.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with road construction, resurfacing, and maintenance tasks.

Operate and maintain small plant and machinery (e.g., plate compactors, rollers).

Load and unload materials such as asphalt, gravel, and concrete.

Follow site safety protocols and traffic management plans.

Work collaboratively with supervisors, machine operators, and traffic controllers.

Perform manual labour including digging, raking, and sweeping.

Maintain a clean and safe worksite.

Requirements

Previous experience in civil construction or roading (preferred but not essential).

Full Class 1 NZ Driver's Licence (Class 2 or WTR endorsements are a bonus).

Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.

Strong work ethic and reliability.

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and police check.
