Duties:
- Issue and close off permits to perform work, for contractors coming onto site
- Complete contractor inductions - ensure contractors have correct tickets for their duties
- Trouble shoot equipment breakdowns and resolve in a timely manner
- Perform and document all maintenance, instrument calibration and validations
- Apply strong technical knowledge and collaborate with team members and contractors
- Be on the tools and undertake day-to-day maintenance and inspections
Skills and Experience:
- Be familiar with Site Safe and Worksafe NZ requirements
- Have experience issuing permits to onsite contractors
- Computer proficiency required
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Have worked with machinery on industrial sites
- Have experience working with contractors and/or contracting environment
- Must have reporting and investigate writing skills
This role would suit somebody, who:
- Has experience in engineering disciplines - mechanical engineer, HVAC, industrial, building services
- Is a tradesperson who has received onsite permits and knows the process
- Has trade understanding that can step-up to the next level
- 10 years fitter/boiler practical experience, or similar experience
