Our Christchurch office is currently seeking a Recruitment Consultant to work on permanent placements in the Engineering, trade and manufacturing industries

About the role:

The role of a Recruitment Consultant is to nurture and grow our business in the permanent space.

You will be partnering closely with our clients for their permanent recruitment needs, designing recruitment solutions, and delivering successful outcomes through effective talent pooling and placement of high calibre candidates. You will also be helping to grow this space by networking amongst both existing and new clients.

The types of tasks you would expect to do in this role include:


  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients
  • Taking comprehensive job briefs and providing advice to clients regarding job requirements remuneration and conditions of employment
  • Designing candidate attraction and engagement strategies, working with job seekers throughout the recruitment process
  • Undertaking 360 degree end to end recruitment of candidates
  • Providing administration and document management support, loading adverts and putting together candidate profiles, along with managing and updating our candidate CRM
  • Facilitating interviews, meetings and testing, as well as completing reference checks

We love diversity - we would love you to have recruitment experience whether it be internal or external and although experience recruiting in Agency would be great, we are open to hearing about your recruitment experience in a different field.

A determination for success - you will have outstanding client/customer service skills and a background in achieving targets or KPIs. You will be a team player with a focus on forming strong relationships with clients and candidates.
