A leading large civil construction company is seeking a Project Engineer for a large-scale ongoing Hamilton-based project.
About The Role:
- Plan, manage and monitor the delivery of a large-scale Hamilton-based project with numerous subcontractors on site
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Preparing site reports, proposals and impact assessments
- Proactive problem solver and must enjoy a challenge
- Maintain a strong Health and Safety focus
- Reading designs and ability with CAD is favourable
- Manage drawings, QA and associated safety documentation
- Ensuring contracts are complete as per schedule to specification as per contract
- Ability to motivate and lead others
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Proven experience in medium to large scale projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project and quality management systems
- Resilient and ability to keep calm under pressure, whilst keeping lines of communication open
- Strong communication and the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors and other personnel on site and work collaboratively
- Ability to think innovatively and optimize the resources available
- Excellent command of English language, both written and verbal
- Technical knowledge of civil construction and ability to communicate with various contractors
