Vineyard Machinery Service Technician, AWF are looking for someone to assist our busy vineyard machinery client in their workshop as a service technician.

We need someone practical and good with tools who's able to listen and follow instructions to ensure that their machinery is serviced to the required standard.

Our ideal candidate will be able to work well both autonomously and as part of a team.

Prior experience with vineyard machinery is not required however you will need to be capable completing servicing and repairs on machinery so this role would suit someone with experience working with small engines, light or heavy vehicles, heavy machinery or tractors and implements.

You will be completing services on machinery, diagnosing faults, maintaining machinery, and fixing faults.

This is a great role that offers further development opportunities and a skill set working on machines used throughout the world.

There are opportunities to travel the world and support during other countries harvests should you wish to take them.

Our client sells and services high end vineyard machinery and implements they are well established and have built a reputation for delivering to a very high standard through the great work of their team.

In addition to the vineyard machines, they also sell and service other gear such as mobile frost fans, woodchippers and industry grade landscaping equipment.

Their workshop is clean, well equipped, and well presented.

They hold safety in high regard and are looking for someone equally committed to ensuring everyone goes home safe and well at the end of a hard day's work.

What we're looking for:

A great team member who doesn't mind getting stuck in to help others and who can work methodically to achieve a great result.

You will need to be practical, and some welding skills would be an advantage.

To be successful in this role you'll need to be keen to get your hands dirty but also willing and able to clean up after yourself.

We don't need someone with all the skills and our client is more than willing to train the right person to be successful, but you will need some prior experience either personally or professionally working on machinery of some kind.

In addition to the above you'll also need:

  • The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it
  • A full New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • The ability to pass pre-employment checks including drugs, alcohol, and criminal history
  • A current CV with contactable references
