About the role;

Our client is seeking a skilled engineer to work within their busy Invercargill based workshop. As leaders in the tractor implement industry our client is dedicated to ensuring that everything that leaves their workshop is of the highest quality, this is where you come in. The role will include assembling, repairing and adapting farm implements to ensure they meet the customer needs.

This is a role that requires you to think about how the machinery will be used and ensure that it is beyond fit for purpose. A large range of different machinery will ensure variety in your work and also a chance to use your varied skills to achieve the results needed.

This role is Full time Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday depending on workload, it's a busy workshop and the machinery worked on is heavy and so some level of physical strength is required to be successful in this role.

The role is available for immediate start and is solely open to those currently residing in New Zealand due to Covid-19 lock down boarder restrictions. This is a temporary role however there is the potential for this to become permanent for the right person.

About you;

To be successful in this role you'll be a skilled and experienced engineer capable of thinking on your feet and problem solving. You will be a skilled welder and able to think of how an item will be used an ensure that you're engineering them to be up to the task.

A belief in the do it once do it right mentality is hugely important, the machinery you're working on is often the income source for the customer so it's important that things are done correctly to ensure they meet their needs and are durable enough to last a long time.

The team is already well established and full of great people, they get stuck in together to meet deadlines and anyone joining the team will need to be able to work well with others and also take on board feedback as needed.

This role is not open to any non-resident current residing outside of New Zealand, due to COVID-19 lock down.

In addition to the above you'll need the following to be successful in this role;

- A current Full New Zealand class 1 license (forklift would be an advantage)

- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; drug and alcohol, criminal history, ACC history

- A current CV with contactable references

- The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it

- Be physically capable of lifting up to 25kg's
