About the role

We're seeking a couple of fit keen and hard working labourers to work in the civil sector assisting to keep kiwi roads flowing smoothly.

This work will see you working in the civil sealing sector assisting with a wide range of different tasks, from helping to keep machinery moving to assisting with the replacement of safety barriers, so we want people who can work well as a team and who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and get stuck into a wide range of tasks on site.

This work will see you working throughout the wider Canterbury and Mackenzie regions and there will be times where you'll be away from home and on occasion there may also be some night work. The travel usually won't include the weekend, but you will have to be prepared to stay away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time. All accommodation and food costs will be covered and there are generous allowances paid for periods of staying away.

Who are we looking for?

Whilst ideally you'll have experience in the civil sector this isn't mandatory, and all training will be provided. But you will need to be keen to learn, able to listen and willing to get stuck into your work from the boring through to the very exciting.

You'll be working outside, and the hours can be long, so you'll need some grit and work ethic to stand out in this role

In addition to the above to be successful in this role you'll need:

  • A full class 1 New Zealand Drivers Licence (higher class of licences and endorsements would be ideal)
  • The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; Drug and Alcohol and criminal history
  • The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it
  • A current CV with contactable references
