Looking for a hands-on role in a laboratory environment? We're seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join a busy team working on civil construction materials testing. This is a great opportunity for someone keen to learn and develop in a specialised field.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carry out laboratory testing on asphalt, aggregates, and soils
- Assist with sampling and on-site testing for construction and paving crews
- Maintain and operate equipment safely and professionally
- Complete documentation, including daily job records and health & safety reports
- Support team members and contribute to productivity and quality improvements
What You Need:
- Interest or experience in civil construction materials testing
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word)
- Problem-solving and clear communication skills
- Full NZ driver's licence & your own vehicle
- Flexibility to travel within the Lower North Island and work outside standard hours when required
