We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Hydraulic Service Technician to join a dynamic team servicing a wide range of plant and industrial machinery. This role involves both workshop-based and on-site work, including fault-finding, repairs, installations, and system improvements. If you're confident working independently, technically competent, and ready to take ownership of your work, this could be the perfect fit.

Your Duties:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic equipment and customer machinery, both in the workshop and on-site.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot effectively, and recommend solutions or improvements.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and hydraulic schematics.
  • Contribute to the design and development of new systems and modifications.
  • Accurately complete job cards, timesheets, and order materials following procurement processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including equipment shutdown and lockout procedures.
  • Report any unsafe practices or equipment to management.
  • Uphold professionalism and technical standards to positively represent the business.
  • Take accountability for personal development and overall performance.
  • Perform additional duties as required within your scope of training and qualifications.

You Will Have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or hands-on experience in hydraulics or mechanical system fitting, maintenance, or assembly.
  • Demonstrated experience working with pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulic hoses, and high-pressure equipment.
  • A clean and current driver's licence (essential).
  • Forklift and/or EWP Licence (essential).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (essential).
  • Basic computer skills, with familiarity in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (desirable).
  • The ability to work unsupervised in varied environments while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across multiple channels.
  • High attention to detail and time management skills.
  • A confident, professional approach with a positive attitude toward change and teamwork.
