About the Role:
A New Zealand-owned national company providing Electrical, HVAC, and Refrigeration services, working with a wide range of commercial and industrial customers. We currently have a position available for a highly motivated and enthusiastic HVAC Service Technician to join the Service team who has the experience to respond to client requirements, including maintenance, service, and remedial tasks.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Experience in servicing and commissioning Commercial Air conditioning systems, including VRF or VRV, chillers, and Heat pumps
- Experience servicing Residential Air conditioning systems
- Preventative maintenance and servicing
- Fault diagnostics and repairs
- Checking and refurbishing refrigeration systems, diagnosing faults, repairing and replacing faulty mechanisms
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems and perform warranty services
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Be able to maintain high standards and quality assurance procedures, including OSH requirements, in keeping with our own and our customers' H&S policies
- Working with electronic daily job allocation schedules
The successful applicant must have:
- EWRB's limited electrical license is beneficial, not essential
- L4 Trade certificate or L5 advanced trade certificate in refrigeration and air conditioning
- A Registered Refrigerant Handler's certificate is beneficial
- Relevant work experience as HVAC/R Service Technician OR relevant Trade Qualifications in HVAC and Refrigeration
- Experience in HVAC Commercial Project installs, repairs, and maintenance - remedial work
- Must have HVAC and ducting experience, with at least residential or commercial site experience
- Experience in the telecommunications maintenance environment is beneficial
- A Gas and Fillers License is beneficial
- Have a clean, full New Zealand driver's license and a valid Site Safe card
