Description:

To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated, communicate well with others, fit and able-bodied and capable of operating a forklift vehicle in a safe and compliant manner.

The nature of work involves operating a forklift to load/unload freight pallets, collating orders and other administration tasks within a warehouse environment.

When performing tasks, you will be working within a tight-knit team and under the direction and supervision of the Site Manager.

You will undergo an induction on forklift standard operating procedures, hazard identification and workplace health & safety regulations.

We're offering full on-the-job training, ongoing development, full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and the opportunity to up-skill within logistics & warehousing.

Let's talk about the role:

• Perform all daily forklift pre-start compliance checks
• Manage freight within a warehouse environment
• Operate a forklift to load/unload heavy vehicles (delivery trucks)
• Carry out tasks within health & safety regulations and follow workplace processes
• Carry out reporting and administration tasks (paperwork)
• Carry out reporting & administration tasks, including informing supervisor of any damages

What we are looking for:

• Work well within a team and communicate well with others

• Strong ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms
• Current NZ Class 1 Driver Licence and personal vehicle
• Current NZ Driver Licence - F Endorsement (not older than 3 years)
• Current Forklift Operator Certificate (OSH) (or be willing to obtain)
